To reutilise the sounds I had collected previously in the project I decided to warp them using the same tools musicians use to autotune their vocals. However I altered the settings to an extreme so that minute alternations in pitch enable the sound to be thoroughly distorted.
I then used a program I had written to represent the audio waves in a visual format and added some organic overlays of lens flare to add more depth to the footage.
I specifically wanted to present the work via a barcode so that the footage is directly steamed to a smartphone to relocate the notion of being hacked.
Apps such as QR Scanner are capable of recognising these sorts of barcodes. Full video here: http://vid.ly/0l6d7w
